EDITOR’S LETTER:
This week’s edit looks at three different rituals: drinking, movement and the objects that shape both.
Wine bars are often built around spectacle — dramatic lists, performative service, an atmosphere that turns wine into theatre. At Luna Wine Bar, the approach is calmer. The room encourages conversation and the wine list rewards curiosity rather than expertise.
Movement follows a similar pattern. At BLOK, training is structured and demanding without becoming chaotic. A recent BLOKSTRENGTH class was one of the tougher sessions I’ve taken in some time, but the intensity is controlled and purposeful.
And at the table, small details still matter. Richard Brendon’s Occasional Champagne glass is a reminder that the objects we drink from influence the experience more than we often realise.
Three different settings, but the same underlying theme: things designed to be used well, and used repeatedly.

MOVEMENT
Strength as Practice - BLOK:
BLOK’s London studios are known for disciplined training across strength, reformer Pilates, barre, boxing and conditioning classes.
After taking a BLOKSTRENGTH session recently, one thing became clear: this is training designed to be repeated — tough, structured and surprisingly rewarding. ring handing over data ownership rather than platform extraction.

PRODUCT
Precision at the Table: Richard Brendon
Glassware often fades into the background, but the shape of a glass can transform how wine is experienced.
We used Richard Brendon’s Occasional Champagne glass, a mouth-blown crystal design created for moments when a universal wine glass simply isn’t enough. residence built around movement, recovery and work.

PLACE
Wine Without Theatre: Luna Wine Bar
A quietly confident wine bar from the team behind Legare. Luna focuses on thoughtful bottles, calm hospitality and a room designed for conversation rather than spectacle.
We visited recently to see how it fits into London’s growing neighbourhood wine scene.

From The Reset Series™
Earlier this week we revisited The Prostate Reset, a free guide designed to bring clarity to one of the most common — and least openly discussed — areas of men’s health.
The prostate changes naturally with age, yet symptoms such as urinary frequency, night-time waking or uncertainty around PSA testing often create unnecessary anxiety.
The guide explains what is normal, when to speak to a GP, and how simple lifestyle adjustments — including hydration timing, sleep and inflammation management — can influence symptoms.
